Times Have Changed - People are Busy - Over 4 Billion People Have Smartphones on Them - So Why Not Get Your Daily Dose of God's Word Sent to It!

Starting from an idea while reading my Bible one day, I decided to lean into the skills I was learning with my company on blogging, website design, and email marketing – And Your Daily KJV was born.

Initially built and sent out on Substack – Your Daily KJV became an easy way to get daily readings of God’s Word sent to someone email. As my skills have increased – I’ve been building Your Daily KJV, resulting in me starting this page – and hopefully a resource to you!

What We Believe at Your Daily KJV - Our Statement of Faith

Nature of God:

There exists one true God manifested in three equal persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Trinity). This God is described as an infinite, intelligent, and perfect Spirit who created and rules the universe. (John 4:24; Exodus 15:11; Mark 12:30; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; Ephesians 2:18)

Human Condition:

Humankind, though originally created in holiness, fell into sin through Satan’s temptation. This fall resulted in all people being inherently sinful by choice, not by constraint, and naturally inclined toward evil. (Genesis 1:27; Genesis 2:7; Genesis 3:6-24; Romans 5:19; Isaiah 53:6; Ephesians 2:13; Ezekiel 18:19-20)

Salvation Process:

Salvation is entirely by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died as atonement for sins, and rose bodily from the dead. This salvation includes justification, forgiveness of sins, and the promise of eternal life. (Ephesians 2:8; John 3:16; John 8:58; Philippians 2:6-7; Hebrews 1:8; Isaiah 53:4-5; Hebrews 7:25)

Christian Life:

The believer undergoes progressive sanctification – a lifelong process of becoming more holy through the Holy Spirit’s work, involving self-examination, prayer, and adherence to God’s Word. (I Thessalonians 4:3; Proverbs 4:18; I John 2:29; Philippians 2:12-13)

Church Structure:

A true church is defined as a congregation of baptized believers, governed autonomously under Christ’s leadership, with pastors and deacons as its only official positions. The church’s authority includes administering baptism and the Lord’s Supper. (I Corinthians 1:1-13; Acts 2:41-42; Matthew 28:20; Ephesians 4:7; Philippians 1:1; Matthew 16:16-18)

Ordinances:

Two church ordinances are recognized: baptism by immersion for believers and the Lord’s Supper using unleavened bread and fruit of the vine, both serving as memorial observances. (Romans 6:3; Acts 8:36-39; Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; I Corinthians 11:26,28)

End Times Beliefs:

Christ will return to “rapture” the church before the tribulation period, followed by a thousand-year reign on Earth, culminating in a final judgment separating the righteous and wicked eternally. (I Thessalonians 4:16-18; Revelation 4:1-20:15)

Family Values:

Marriage is exclusively defined as a union between one male and one female. Children are viewed as a divine heritage, and parents are responsible for their spiritual and moral education. All sexual activity outside marriage is considered sinful. (Genesis 2:18-25; Matthew 19:3-9; Romans 7:2; Ephesians 5:22-32; Deuteronomy 6:6-7; Psalm 78:4-7; Psalm 127:3-5)

Social Responsibility:

Christians are obligated to seek Christ’s will in society while submitting to governmental authority when it doesn’t conflict with God’s Word. This includes speaking against social practices deemed sinful according to Scripture. (Luke 10:25-27; Romans 13:1-7; Titus 3:1)

Life Ethics:

Human life is considered sacred from conception through natural death, opposing practices like abortion, euthanasia, and assisted suicide. (Genesis 1:27; Exodus 20:13; Leviticus 19:32; Job 12:12; Psalms 139:13-14; Isaiah 44:2,24; Jeremiah 1:5)

Education Philosophy:

Christian education is viewed as true enlightenment, with all sound learning considered part of Christian heritage and wisdom beginning with reverence for God. (Proverbs 1:7; Matthew 28:20; Colossians 2:3; Deuteronomy 4:1,5,9,13,14; II Timothy 2:2)
